1. Free Flu shots for Veterans
    The Department of Veterans Affairs has teamed up with Walgreens Pharmacies for free flu shots for Veterans. All Veterans currently enrolled in the VA healthcare system will be able to walk into any Walgreens Pharmacy (and the Duane Reade pharmacies In the New York metropolitan area) to receive a vaccination at no cost. These will be available through March 31, 2018.
  2. TRICARE Changes Coming in January
    Beginning January 1, 2018, changes will be coming to the TRICARE benefit system. If you haven’t looked into how these changes will affect you and how to prepare, information is available here.
  3. October is Domestic Violence Prevention Awareness Month
    Every October, the Marine Corps shines a spotlight on a serious and preventable public health issue, domestic violence. Preventing and responding to child abuse and domestic abuse allegations are the responsibility of all Marines. Domestic violence is preventable with the help of all members of the community. If you or someone you know is being abused and is in immediate danger call 911. For assistance or additional resources, please contact your installation Family Advocacy Program, Military OneSource (800-342-9647), or the National Domestic Violence Hotline (800-799-7233).
  4. NAGDCA National Retirement Security Week
    October 15 – 21 was this year's National Retirement Security Week.  This year is especially important as many Marines now have the choice to opt-in to the new Blended Retirement System plan.
