The Great American Smoke Out is an event started in the 1970s to urge people to quit tobacco, even if for just 24 hours. The American Cancer Society now promotes the Great American Smoke Out on an annual basis to help motivate people to quit tobacco. The Great American Smoke Out will be held on 17 November 2016 on installations across the Marine Corps. There will be various activities such as fun runs, hands-on activities, and lots of information to support you in your journey to quitting tobacco. Remember, even quitting for a day can give you a little push in the right direction to become tobacco-free.
