We do all sorts of fun stuff like miniature golf tournaments, scenic rides along the evacuation/tsunami routes, poker runs in his “racing Mustang”, and pool-time at the local casino. We have a blast when we’re together and it feels like time slows down – just like in those cheesy movies at the base theater. Is it that elusive “L” word we all secretly long for? I think so. There are entire websites devoted to research about the effects smoking has on the body – for the smoker and receiver of secondhand smoke. Sure, the breath mints are appreciated, but just not enough. We need to have a discussion about our relationship and your unhealthy habits.
