Sgt Jacob Clark Wins Silver at Pan-American Games

After qualifying for his first U.S. World Team, Clark competed at the 2006 Pan-American Wrestling Games, taking home the silver medal in the 84 kg weight class. 

Clark Faced the 1999 World Champion, Luis Mendez of Cuba in the Pan-Am finals.  Clark lost 2-1 in the first period and rallied to win the second period, 4-2.  However Clark was unable to defeat the former Champ and current 7th World Rank veteran, losing the third period 2-1. 

Clark's accomplishments at the U.S. World Team Trials and Pan-Am Games earned him the USA Greco-Roman Wrestler of the Month.  Clark and the U.S. World Team will compete at the World Championships in Guangzhou, China, 26 September to 1 October.
