Semper Fit Names GySgt Murphy and MSgt Kromis All-Marine Basketball Coaches

Headquarters Marine Corps officially announces the 2006 All-Marine Men's Basketball Coaching staff.  GySgt Dennis Murphy (HQMC-JA), the 2005 All-Marine assistant coach, has been given the nod to lead the All-Marine Basketball Team during the 2006 season.  MSgt Thomas Kromis (MACS-24) will be making his All-Marine debut as the assistant Coach. 

The 2006 WESTPAC Regional Championships will be held 9-14 October at MCB Camp Butler.  The West Coast and East Coast Regional Championships will be held 16-21 October at 29 Palms, CA and MCAS Cherry Point respectfully. 

The All-Marine Trial Camp has been relocated to Henderson Hall for logistical reasons.  The trial camp will be held from 22 October to 2 November.  Marines Selected to the All-Marine Basketball team will compete at the 2006 Armed Forces Basketball Championship at Fort Carson, CO 3-11 November. 

Teams competing at the Regional Championships are Marine Corps Base teams only.  Marines will be selected to attend the All-Marine Trial Camp from the Regional Championships.  Marines unable to participate at the Regional Championships due to operational committments or because they are not located at a Marine Corps Installation, may submit their application to the Marine Corps Sports office.  Applications may be downloaded from this website.  For further questions, please contact the Marine Corps Sports Office at 703-784-9542 or toll free at 1-866-400-8753.
