Cool off this Independence Day with festivals, road races and celebrations all designed to help you GSD – Get Summer Done. MCLB Albany – Independence Day Celebration, 28 June at 4 p.m.

Last year’s event saw thousands of patrons seeking out a safe venue for a night of celebration. Food vendors, fireworks, child-friendly activities, and fun demonstrations can all be anticipated this year at Boyett Park. The event is free and open to the general public, with public access granted to the installation at 4 p.m. 

MCB Hawaii – Runway Run, 4 July at 6:30 a.m.

A scenic 5K run along the airfield of Kaneohe Bay is the perfect way to start your 4th of July holiday! Open to the general public, participants can expect to take in breathtaking views of the Ko’olau Mountains and Kaneohe Bay. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in specific age groups and the top three male and female finishers overall. Solo, pair and group patriotic costumes will also take home a prize so come dressed in your best patriotic gear!

MCB Camp Lejeune – Independence Day Celebration, 4 July at 6 p.m. (Link)

Damage from Hurricane Florence may have tried to threaten this year’s Independence Day Celebration but our Marines know the party must go on. While this year’s celebration will only be open to DoD cardholders and their sponsored guests, you can still expect a party like no other with a performance by the Marine Corps’ own Mike Corrado, food and fireworks at Onslow Beach.

Okinawa – Camp Foster Festival, 6 July from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and 7 July from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Link)

With Singer and Songwriter Jason Derulo taking the stage on Saturday, July 6th at 8 p.m., this year’s Camp Foster Festival is bringing the summer heat right to Okinawa! Including Fun Land rides, bouncers, local vendors, and festival favorites, both U.S. and Japanese citizens can attend these two days of jam-packed fun in the sun.

MCRD Parris Island – 4th of July Celebration, 4 July from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Open to the general public, this year’s July 4th celebration will feature all of the elements that have made this event hard to miss in year’s past. With performances by the Parris Island Marine Band, a Kids’ Fun Zone and fireworks, patrons should be ready to sit back, relax and celebrate.          

MCB Camp Pendleton – Ken Grody Ford Beach Bash, 4 July from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Link)

This year’s Ken Grody Ford Beach Bash will bring all the summer fun you need right to Camp Pendleton! With the Del Mar Beach Resort opening to patrons at 6 a.m., visitors should plan to get to the beach and set up early. With a Family Fun Zone, food vendors, two MCX card giveaways plus a Ken Grody Ford Ranger truck giveaway, this year’s festivities promise to be fantastic.

MCB Quantico – 4th of July Celebration, 4 July from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

On the fourth, Marine Corps Base Quantico will host a 4th of July Celebration at Lejeune Field. Carnival rides, food, drinks, a DJ and live band are all sure to keep you and your family entertained until fireworks begin shortly after 9 p.m.
