The Department of Defense (DoD) will kick off its annual observance of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) with the ongoing theme, “Step Forward. Prevent. Report. Advocate.” in April 2023.
This theme is a call to action for individuals at all levels of the DoD to use their personal strengths to advance positive change in preventing sexual violence. SAAPM is an opportunity to highlight the outstanding care for those who have experienced sexual assault and the innovative ways we are working to incorporate sexual assault prevention into our daily mission.
The Marine Corps Annual Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC) sponsored poster contest in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) will be held in April 2023. The poster contest is open to all Marines and attached service members to Marine units. The winning design(s) will be featured in Marine Corps materials.
Do you think you have a winning design? Do your part to advance positive change in preventing sexual violence by creating your own poster using the theme.
If your local Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) is hosting a poster contest, submit your entry and release forms according to the guidance from your SARC.
If your local SARC is not hosting a poster contest, you can submit your entry and release forms and any questions or comments to the point of contact located on MARADMIN 043/23.
All submissions, to include contest guidelines and release forms, are due by February 28th, 2023.
