Founded in 2007, the Wounded Warrior Regiment is the official U.S. Marine Corps command charged with providing leadership and facilitating the integration of non-medical and medical care to combat and non-combat Wounded, Ill, and Injured (WII) Marines, sailors attached to Marine units, and their family members in order to maximize their recovery as they return to duty or transition to civilian life.
The Regimental headquarters, located in Quantico, Virginia, commands the operation of two Wounded Warrior Battalions and multiple detachments in locations around the globe, including major military treatment facilities and Department of Veterans Affairs Polytrauma Rehabilitation Centers. We have Marine leaders standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our warriors and families to assist Marines regardless of location.
Services are available to the total force – active duty, reserve, veteran Marines, and their families.
